Qualification
-
Ph.D. in synthetic or medicinal chemistry, or M. Sc. / B.S. with 2+ years of experience, preferably in an industrial or CRO setting.;

Deep knowledge of modern synthetic organic chemistry, multistep synthesis, and excellent problem-solving skills;
-
Proven track record of successful scientific accomplishments, exemplified by conference presentations and/or peer-reviewed publications.

Ability to maintain and use modern chemical instrumentation (LCMS, UPLC, GC etc).
-
Ability to interpret LCMS and NMR spectra.

Familiarity with chemical databases (e.g. Reaxys, SciFinder)
-
Previous industrial experience in a biopharmaceutical company or CRO is advantageous.

Effective leadership and strong project management skills.

Excellent communication (verbal and written English) and presentation skills.

Ability to adjust quickly to changing strategic and tactical priorities, proactivity, comfortable to multi-task, highly motivated, result orientation, passion to bench chemistry, out-box thinking.

Strong oral and written communication skills.

Experience in High Throughput Experimentation;

Familiarity with modern computational chemistry, chemoinformatics, and visualization approaches.

Responsibilities
Depending on the role&title the responsibilities can include

Independently planning, managing, and executing multi-step synthesis of complex organic molecules;

Leading a team of other synthetic chemists/technicians to execute several synthetic chemistry projects.

Coordination of multiple projects, defining the chemistry strategy, and troubleshooting.

Data collection and analysis, writing reports&updates,
-
Presentations of the results at team meetings and for collaborators/clients.
