Research Assistant - Analytical Chemistry (m/f/d)

The Position
​
We are looking for a Research Associate to join our synthetic organic and peptide chemistry labs in Frankfurt am Main. This position is ideal for chemistry professionals who enjoy practical lab work and are passionate about contributing to applied research through hands-on synthesis.

You’ll be part of an international team of around 20 colleagues at our site in Industriepark Höchst in a modern, open space laboratory. We have a motivating, collaborative work environment and support each other with theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience. Everyone’s contribution counts.

Your responsibilities will include:
​

·Conduct analytical testing (LC-MS, HPLC) and purification (Flash, HPLC) of organic compounds and intermediates
-
·Support chemists during synthesis campaigns with routine analysis and sample preparation

·Method development for challenging purifications

·Document results in electronic lab notebooks (ELN) and internal systems

·Maintain and calibrate analytical instruments and ensure lab safety standards

·Collaborate closely with synthetic chemists, project teams, and quality management

What You Bring:
​
You’re a great fit for this role if you enjoy working in a lab, have a solid understanding of and interest in organic chemistry, and like to see the direct impact of your efforts. Ideally, you bring:

Completed vocational training as chemical laboratory technician, CTA, B.Sc. in Chemistry or related qualification

First hands-on experience in analytical chemistry (HPLC, LC-MS preferred)

Familiarity with common lab documentation practices and safety standards
-
Team player with attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a proactive mindset
-
Previous industrial experience in an analytical lab or CRO is advantageous.

You are eager to familiarize yourself with new instruments and software and operating them confidently, adapt new chemistry techniques/methods, learn and grow.

Safe handling of various hazardous substances is routine for you.

You have a strong sense of responsibility when it comes to working in compliance with relevant regulations in the areas of occupational safety, environmental protection, and quality assurance.

Excellent English and/or German language skills are an advantage.
