Qualification
  • - M. Sc. / B.S. in organic chemistry

  • - A solid understanding of organic chemistry principles, laboratory techniques, and experimental procedures is necessary. This includes knowledge of chemical reactions, synthesis methods, purification techniques, and instrumental analysis commonly used in organic chemistry labs.

  • -Strong knowledge of laboratory safety protocols, including handling hazardous chemicals, proper waste disposal, and safe operation of laboratory equipment, is crucial. 

  • Accurate documentation skills, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain organized records are essential. 

  • Effective communication skills are necessary to collaborate with colleagues, scientists, and researchers within the lab.

  • Good English language skills are necessary, minimal B2 level.

  • Previous laboratory experience or internships in labs is advantageous.

Responsibilities (included but not limited to)
  • You will be responsible for carrying out various experiments following procedures and protocols. This involves preparing reagents, setting up apparatus, performing reactions, and recording observations accurately.

  • Chemical analysis and testing: You will be expected to perform chemical analysis and testing using various techniques and instruments such as spectroscopy, chromatography, and mass spectrometry.

  • You may be responsible for cleaning and sterilizing glassware, calibrating instruments, and performing routine maintenance tasks to ensure accurate and reliable results.

  • You will need to maintain detailed records of experiments, observations, and results in a laboratory notebook or electronic system.

  • You must adhere to safety protocols, including handling hazardous chemicals, wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), and properly disposing of waste.

  • You may be responsible for maintaining an inventory of chemicals, reagents, and supplies.

  • You will work closely with other laboratory staff, including researchers, scientists, and other technicians. 

  • You should be able to troubleshoot problems, identify potential causes, and propose solutions to ensure the smooth progress of experiments and projects.
